Raymond Barabe mysteriously disappeared near his home in Falmouth, Massachusetts during the fall of 1968. No one who knows the boy has seen or heard from him in nearly sixty years. Sadly, his disappearance remains a perplexing mystery.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Raymond was last seen in Falmouth, Massachusetts on November 6th 1968. He was seen standing in the parking lot of Falmouth Plaza which was located not far from his residence at 36 Alma Road. His mother, Dorothy was shopping at the plaza and saw him so she told him to get back home. He smiled and waved at her before he began walking back towards his home. He was never seen or heard from again afterwards. Police did little to search for him at the time but his case has since been reopened.
Additional Details:
Investigators initially believed that Raymond had run away from home. Although he was described by those who knew him as likeable, intelligent and independent he was also known to get into trouble. His mother had been called to his school multiple times due to issues with his teachers. At one point, Raymond was questioned by the police because he was in the company of friends at two businesses causing problems. Many of his problems started following the family’s move from their former home located at 2 Toledo Street. Raymond’s friends all lived in that area and he’d go to his old neighborhood everyday to visit his friends. In fact, his family would go to the home a lot after his disappearance in case he chose to go back there. Despite years of searching, they never found out what became of Raymond who went by the nickname “Ray.” His disappearance remains unsolved.
