In 1973 Kim was checked out of UCLA Med Ctr by her father, Bill Mallon. She disappeared from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) Neuropsychiatric Hospital, where she was a patient. Kim was last seen wearing a knit blue pullover blouse, white corduroy bell-bottom pants, oxford shoes, and a turquoise and silver pendant necklace. Mallon was last seen in Los Angeles, California on September 30, 1973, and foul play is suspected.
Additional Details:
Kim was adopted by her father and stepmother, William and Rosemary Mallon, who married in 1963, with William from Culver City. Kim's biological mother was Georgia Lytton, who was married to William in Nevada in 1960 in a marriage which was annulled, and Georgia later remarried Ralph Lytton, with Lytton being Kim's birth surname. Kim had been molested by her father, and criminal charges were brought up against him. Her adoptive mother passed away in a small town in Oregon, where she moved shortly after Kim disappeared. Her sister, Lori, was looking for her in 2004. In 2005, the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital was renamed the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA. Few details are available in her case.
