Kelly Staples disappeared one morning while walking to school in Chicago, Illinois in early 1980. She has never been seen or heard from again. Police believe Staples was abducted by a stranger while she walked to school but no suspects have ever been publicly identified. Sadly, her disappearance remains unsolved.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Kelly was last seen in Chicago, Illinois on the morning of January 8th 1980. She left her family’s home in the South Shore neighborhood to walk to her elementary school which was just a few blocks away. Kelly never arrived for classes that day and no one has seen her since that day. She is believed to have been abducted but police have never identified any suspects in the case.
Additional Details:
In 1992, an accused murderer admitted he killed Kelly along with other missing girls and women but his confession was found to be false. The man has been ruled out as a suspect in Kelly’s case
