Summary:
Antonio Romero was a 19-year-old man who lived in a residence with multiple tenants located in the 500 block of Dundee Avenue. Antonio moved to Elgin from Mexico several weeks prior to his murder, and on February 16, 1981, he was located, in the basement of the building stabbed to death. A person of interest, David Rojas, was identified at the time of the original investigation but he reportedly fled the United States to Mexico shortly after the murder. David Rojas' whereabouts remain unknown.
