Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
James was last seen leaving his home in the 10th block of Lakeside Road in Hanson, Massachusetts on October 18th 1981. He called a friend earlier that day and said he was going to hitchhike to their house in Halifax, Massachusetts. It’s unclear if Rogers managed to catch a ride or not. He was initially believed to be a runaway. However, the case is now classified as a stranger abduction. James was a newspaper carrier at the time of his 1981 disappearance.
Additional Details:
Since it’s unclear whether or not James managed to get a ride from someone, police believe it’s possible he ended up walking to his intended destination and was possibly abducted while doing so. He may have traveled through nearby cranberry bogs. No trace of Rogers has ever been found and his case remains unsolved.
