Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

On May 21, 1982, Andrea left her workplace at the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services around 3:00 p.m., telling colleagues she felt sick. This was the last confirmed sighting of her. Later that evening at approximately 11:00 p.m., an anonymous caller reported to police that he had seen a woman twice that evening, sitting in a car in the parking lot of a Winn-Dixie grocery store located in the 2500 block of north Dixie Highway, slumped against the steering wheel as if she was ill. When police arrived at the scene a few minutes later, they found Andrea's vehicle abandoned in the parking lot with no one inside. Her purse was left behind in the car, but there was no sign of her.

Few details about the investigation have been made publicly available. Andrea has never been heard from again since her disappearance. The case remains classified as an endangered missing person case. The circumstances surrounding her disappearance remain mysterious, with questions raised about the anonymous caller's involvement and what happened between the time the caller reported seeing her and when police arrived at the location.
