Circumstances of Disappearance:
Lorie was last seen in Scioto County, Ohio in April of 1984. She possibly disappeared from either Portsmouth or New Boston. The exact circumstances of her disappearance are unclear, her siblings have been told that she failed to return home from South Webster High School where she was a student. They were also told she ran away from home with a boyfriend. She was known to be in the company an older man named “Ron.” Lorie’s family attempted to report her missing when she first disappeared but no report was ever taken at the time.
Additional Details:
In 2018, Lorie’s younger brother and his wife contacted the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation after reading a newspaper article about DNA being used to solve cold cases. They called to inquire about Lorie’s case only to be told she had never been reported missing. She was officially reported missing after this. Her family is hoping to find out what became of Lorie after she left home in 1984. Her disappearance remains unsolved.
