Charlleen Saunders disappeared from Oceanside, California during the late summer of 1986. She was never seen or heard from again. Sixteen years after she disappeared, Saunders’ skeletal remains were found wrapped in a blanket in Temecula, California. Her death remains a mystery.

Charlleen was last seen in Oceanside, California on August 1st 1986. Police believed she was a runaway and might’ve traveled to Georgia after her disappearance.

Additional Details:

On August 12th 2002, a property owner was clearing his hillside property on Sandia Creek Drive in Temecula, California when he discovered the skeletal remains of a teenage girl wrapped in a blanket. The remains were found down a steep hillside near the Riverside-San Diego County border. The remains were determined to be those of a white female between the ages of 12-15. The victim died at some point between 1972-1997. The girl’s cause of death was not released. In 2007, the remains were positively identified as belonging to Charlleen Saunders. Her death remains unsolved.
