Summary:

Jessica Standridge was reported missing after leaving her home in North Little Rock, Arkansas during the late summer of 1987. Her partial skeletal remains were found less than a year later but her identity wasn’t confirmed until October 2002. The cause of her death and disappearance remain a mystery.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Death:

Jessica was last seen leaving her family’s residence located on Reed Road in North Little Rock on August 26, 1987. She took no extra clothing or personal possessions with her when she disappeared. Despite this, police classified Jessica’s case as an “Endangered Runaway” and little was done to investigate. Police said Jessica may have been with two unidentified adults; one male and female when last seen.

Additional Details:

In 1988, trainees at Camp Robinson on Clinton Mountain found the skull and collarbone of a young girl. The remains were suspected to belong to Jessica but she couldn’t be positively identified since she had never been to a dentist and had no dental records. A formal identification was made through DNA testing in October 2002. It’s unclear how exactly Jessica died and the investigation into her death is ongoing.
