Summary:
Ringler was working as the manager of Tony Roma's and stabbed to death within an hour after the restaurant closed. At approximately 1:10am, a maintenance employee found Ringler lying on the floor of his office which was in disarray and money was missing from the office safe. Ringler had worked for the company for 3 1/2 years and was from the first block of Laredo Place in Davie, Florida.

Circumstances of Offense:
An offender was believed to have entered the restaurant shortly before closing and spent some time in the bar. Also, an unidentified white pick-up truck containing two White males was seen outside of the restaurant around closing time. The suspect was identified as a white male, 20-30 years old, and approximately 5-08 to 5-10 tall. He had sandy-blond hair combed straight back, clean shaven, neat looking and spoke slowly without a defined accent. The suspect talked to several restaurant employees and used the phrase, "short of two hoofs and a horn." He was also a cigarette smoker.
Additional Details:
Ringler was promoted to manager in November 1988 and was described by employees as a hard worker who dedication took him from bus boy to supervisor in 3 1/2 years at the restaurant. Ringler was outgoing, friendly and well-liked by his co-workers, friends and relatives said. Ringler had participated in the March of Dimes walk-a-thon fund-raiser every year. Alfred Ringler, father of Mitchell, said his family moved from Riverdale, NY to South Florida almost 4 years prior to the murder to get away from the city's random violence and crime.
