Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
On Sunday, August 6th, 1989 at about 5:30 pm, Blanca Elisa Roberson, left her home at 431 S. Whitney Street, to meet a friend at Kieberger Elementary School. The route she took that day was a 6 minute walk. She did not make it to the meeting spot. Her friend returned to her house and called our house a short time later asking if Elisa had left yet. We told her that she had already left and should have already made it. Her friend said she would go back to the school to see if she was there. A short time later, she called our house again to say she couldn't find her. We began calling all her friends and neighbors. Our neighbors next door, said they saw her when she left our house. I talked to three people from the same household told me that they saw her and they actually talked as she was walking past them on Goodnight. There were two other witnesses that talked to the police at the time and two witnesses who have come forward recently saying they saw her that night walking on Goodnight. She said she would have her dad drive around and they would look for her when he got home from work. They searched for her and came to our house that night to tell us they could not find her. At about 10pm, we called the police department and an officer came out to take a report. Elisa was wearing a light blue Mickey Mouse T-shirt and blue shorts.
Additional Details:
The original detectives on the case had a person of interest early into the investigation but they never officially named him a person of interest. They have been pretty vocal about it lately. There was another person of interest in Elisa's orbit that we would like to talk to. Our private investigator is looking at all leads at present.

Timeline of Events
Elisa was at another friend's home and was going to go to evening church with her but when the church bus came to pick them up, at 5:20pm, Elisa decided to come home. It would have been about a 10 minute walk from her friend's house to our house. Within a few minutes of arriving home, another friend called and asked if Elisa could come play. Elisa asked my mom and she initially told her no because it was getting too late. Her friend told her she would meet her halfway, at the school, and that her dad would drive her back home so she wouldn't be walking in the dark. My mom agreed. She would have left the house about 5:45pm. The walk from our home at 431 S. Whitney St to Kieberger Elementary was 6 minutes. Her friend's walk from her house at 215 S. 11th St. to Kieberger Elementary was 11 minutes. It would have taken her friend over 20 minutes to get to the school and back to her house to call our house looking for Elisa. She said she would go back out and look for her. So, another 20 plus minutes, to go back to the school and look for her and back to her house again. She called us again and told her that she did not find Elisa and would wait for her dad to come home and they would go look for her. We began calling all her friends and neighbors. Our neighbors next door, said they saw her when she left our house. I talked to three people from the same household told us that they saw her and they actually talked as she was walking past them on Goodnight. There were two other witnesses that talked to the police at the time and two witnesses who have come forward recently saying they saw her that night walking. I am not sure of the time but when her dad got home, he called our house to see if Elisa was there and we said no. He told us that they would go look for her. He came to our house at some point with Elisa's friend and another little friend, and told us they didn't find Elisa and that we needed to call the police. It was 9:49pm when we made the first call to the police department. A police officer came to our house and took our report. He told us that Elisa was probably at a friend's house and would come home soon. She never came home. The next morning, we were at the police department again.
