He is mentioned numerous times through the mid-late 1980s in the Tyler Telegraph; mostly with regards to selling real estate, his involvement with the Tyler Jaycees, and relationship to family events (such as weddings and obituary announcements.) Heines has a speech impediment and was wearing glasses at the time of his disappearance. He is listed as surviving his mother in her obituary published on Feb 16, 2025 in the Tyler Morning Telegraph.
