Thomas Pearson Leever was last seen at his home in Harris County, Texas on October 15, 1990. His body was discovered four days later off a rural Sabine County road with gunshot wounds. Thomas Pearson Leever was last seen at his home in Harris County at 7 p.m. on October 15, 1990. When he failed to appear for work the following day, he was reported missing. His beige 1985 Chevrolet S-10 pickup was also missing from his home, along with his safe. On October 19, 1990, Leever's partially decayed remains were discovered off a rural road in Sabine County. The cause of death was determined to be gunfire. On October 29, 1990, his missing truck was located parked behind a business in Cleveland, Texas. Despite investigative efforts, Leever's safe was never found.
