Summary:
Guido Osorio is wanted for the homicide of 12-year-old Jennifer Mroz.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Guido was being driven around, looking for a party that was being hosted by gang members. He came across a residence that was hosting a 13-year-old girl’s birthday (which did not have gang ties). Authorities allege that Guido fired gunshots at the residence, striking and killing Jennifer who was a friend of the birthday girl. Guido was arrested in 1992 but posted bond and fled later that year. The getaway driver was convicted by a jury but would later be deported after his release. PACER records show that a federal UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) was issued in 1993 but was dismissed in 2011. No explanation was given but UFAP warrants are often dismissed because of a lack of investigative leads and to conserve resources for federal prosecutions. As of this posting, Guido’s murder warrant is still active in Harris County’s court records database and he is not in custody. Guido is from Colombia, South America and most likely returned there.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Guido’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Guido should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so Jennifer’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
