Ida Lowe’s daughters were unable to get ahold of their mother on the phone. The last time they had spoke to her was on Thursday, October 29, 1992. During that phone call, Ida told her daughter that someone was banging on her door and she needed to answer it. On November 1, 1992, one of Ida’s daughters went to Ida’s condominium because she had not been able to contact her mother. Ida’s daughter called the police when no one answered the door at her mother’s condo. Officers were able to access Ida’s residence via the balcony and found Ida Loe’s body on the floor in her bedroom. Ida had been shot and stabbed multiple times. There was no sign of forced entry, but there were two keys found outside of Ida’s condominium that opened the front door. Nothing appeared to be taken from the home and Ida did not appear to have been sexually assaulted.

Timeline of Events
Family was concerned after not being able to reach ida. Officers responded to a welfare check at her condo and found her inside, murdered.
Ida was on the phone with her daughter someone started pounding and banging on the condo door. Ida ignoring it but the pounding continued so Ida stated "They're still pounding on the door...I guess I have to answer it". The call ended and she was never heard from again.
