Summary:
around midnight a double murder occurred at the Sherwood Villa Apartment Complex on Arlette Dr. in Victorville. The victims were found inside an apartment where Daniel Olvera lived. Both victims were transported to local hospitals and later died of gunshot wounds. Witnesses heard gunshots and saw one Hispanic male leaving the area. Witnesses also saw a white truck and tan or brown Buick rapidly leaving the area.

At about 11:30 p.m., on July 24, 1992, Vogler — who has no connection to Hesperia councilwoman Rita Vogler — a female friend and a child went to visit Olvera and his girlfriend, Dawn Sandoval, at the apartment complex, said Alexander.
