Tamara Bradley left work at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 1994, from Federal Foam Technologies located in the 3500 block of 2nd Street North in Minneapolis. According to a co-worker, she was in good mood and planned to spend the weekend house-hunting in Stillwater, Minnesota, as her employer was relocating to Wisconsin and she wanted to move closer to the new office. She was wearing blue jeans, a dark-colored t-shirt, a dark ski jacket, and athletic shoes with light reflectors. She was supposed to pick up her five-year-old son from her ex-husband's parents on Sunday but never appeared, which family members said was completely unlike her. On October 3, 1994, her 1988 silver Buick Century Custom with Minnesota license plate 286CCY was discovered at the Greyhound bus station at the 1000 block of Hawthorne Avenue in Minneapolis, approximately 5 miles from where she left work. The car was towed to an impound lot and not connected to her disappearance until later. Inside the vehicle, authorities found her keys still in the ignition, uncashed paychecks, and an uncashed child support check on the dashboard. The driver's seat was pushed all the way back, suggesting someone much taller than Tamara's 5'4" frame had been driving. There has been no activity on her financial accounts since her disappearance.

The Blaine Police Department has classified the case as endangered missing and suspects foul play. While many people were questioned about Tamara's disappearance, no arrests have been made. The case remained actively worked until February 1995 and has been periodically reexamined throughout the decades. In March 2024, a $10,000 reward was announced by the CEO and President of Federal Foam Technologies (her former employer), valid until June 30, 2024. In April 2024, police received a tip regarding the possible location of Bradley's remains. On April 22, 2024, law enforcement conducted a search of Laddie Lake Park in Blaine, Minnesota, north of 89th Avenue Northeast, but no trace of Bradley was found. The search involved Blaine police detectives, the Anoka County Crime Scene Unit, and agents from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. Tamara's sister, Wendy Edwards, and other family members have continued to seek closure, noting that Tamara's dedication to her son made it impossible she would voluntarily abandon him. Another sister, Therese Olsen, has expressed hope that the case will eventually be resolved.
