While in the street watching the game, a small black vehicle driven by an unknown Hispanic male sped down the street, nearly striking the friends playing football. Words were exchanged between the driver and the friend group, and the vehicle sped away. A second vehicle (navy blue Buick Regal, Oldsmobile Cutlass, or similar) occupied by two unknown Hispanic males pulled up. Words were exchanged, and the occupants of the vehicle fired toward the group. Brenton tried to move to cover but was shot in the back as he fled.
Additional Details:
Brenton was reported by teachers as being a serious student and a joy to have in the classroom. He had plans to attend college in the fall and aspired to be a veterinarian. His family is looking for justice in identifying the suspects responsible for Brenton's death, and authorities are looking for any information that could assist in identifying those suspects.
