Summary:

On January 1st, 1996, a resident of North Port, Florida, contacted police after his dog brought home human remains, including a skull. Responding police officers were able to recover most of the victims remains. However, no clothing or personal items were found. DNA testing suggests that the victim was a descendant of the Mattaponi Indian Tribe of Virginia. Investigators believe he would have lived in North Port or Port Charlotte region of Florida.
