Summary:
Rawlings was shot in her chest and legs. Police found her in a pool of blood outside the door of a house in the 1700 block of East Powell Ave. Rawlings died during surgery at a local hospital.

Three young men were scene running from the scene with one of them carrying a small caliber handgun. A witness reported seeing them leave in a white Ford Tempo or Escort.
Additional Details:
There was no indication that the victim had been sexually assaulted. Rawlings husband had just died a few months prior.
