Circumstances of Offense:
Rebecca had married Ramirez with the hope that he would be a good father to her young son. Unfortunately, their marriage was full of domestic violence. Rebecca would eventually find out that Ramirez also had a wife in Mexico. Rebecca eventually found the courage to leave Ramirez and take her son with her. Ramirez would show up at the residence where Rebecca was staying with a friend. Ramirez got into a lengthy argument with Rebecca who then tried to hide in a bedroom. Authorities allege that Ramirez forced his way through the bedroom door and shot Rebecca in the head, killing her. Ramirez then pulled the trigger on a witness inside the residence, however his gun had ran out of bullets. Rebecca’s last words to her friend were to take care of her young son. Tragically, he would be killed years later in an unrelated incident. Ramirez is believed to have fled to his native country of Mexico. He is originally from Ciudad Mante, Tamaulipas. As of this posting, Ramirez has active UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) cases under the names of “Ramirez Emigdio Garcia” and “Emigdio Ramirez Garcia”. This confirms that he is still at large.
