Summary:
Saul Aguilar, Jr. is wanted for the murder of his ex-girlfriend, 19-year-old Ivette Ruiz. Aguilar tried to force his way inside Ruiz’s residence and then tried to climb through a screen window. He then allegedly shot Ruiz in the back with a shotgun. Ruiz was playing with her three-year old daughter in front of their Christmas tree when she was shot. The suspected motive for the crime is that Ruiz did not want to date Aguilar. Aguilar is believed to have ties to Mexicali, Mexico.

In December 1997, the victim was found in her home with a shotgun wound to her upper torso. It happened just before Christmas 1997. An FBI agent says he can't forget that crime scene.
Additional Details:
A state arrest warrant was issued in January 1998 after Aguilar was charged with murder. Aguilar was also charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution and a federal arrest warrant was issued in June 1998. Aguilar is believed to have fled to Mexico and may be residing there. Aguilar is reportedly a heavy methamphetamine user. As of this posting, Aguilar remains on the FBI’s website as one of their wanted fugitives.
