Amado Rosales is wanted for the homicide of his girlfriend, 31-year-old Rosario Velazquez, a mother-of-four.

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities say that Amado and Rosario got into a fight in the condominium where both of them lived. That is when Amado allegedly stabbed Rosario. Amado fled before authorities arrived. Rosario was still conscious enough to give a detailed statement to police. Amado also allegedly threatened a witness to the crime. Rosario tragically died from her injuries a few hours later at a hospital. Amado is likely hiding in his native country of Mexico. As of this posting, Amado is on the New Jersey State Police’s Most Wanted list for 2025 and the Ocean County Sheriff Most Wanted list website. He is also wanted on a federal charge of Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution, according to public PACER records.
