Authorities allege that Leobaldo committed a drive-by shooting, striking and killing Israel whose body was found on a home’s front porch. Leobaldo was a member of the Vice Lords gang and Israel’s homicide was believed to be gang related. Leobaldo has ties to Aurora, Illinois and McAllen, Texas which is near the Mexican border. A federal Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution (UFAP) warrant was issued in 2001 after Leobaldo had been seen near McAllen. As of this posting, Leobaldo’s murder case in Kane County’s court records database is in pre-trial status with no filings after 1999 except for administrative updates. The UFAP case is also still active according to public PACER records.
