Upon arrival, officers located Antonio and other victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Antonio was transported to a local hospital and died as a result of his injuries.

Sheila Taliaferro lost her 17-year-old son, Antonio S. Taliaferro, in a shooting near 30th and R Streets in 1998. She stated "I haven't had a decent sleep in 23 years."
