Kevin James Dycus was last seen leaving his parents' home in Glendale, Arizona on January 11, 1998. He was on his way to attend church but never arrived at his destination. He did not take any money, identification, or personal belongings with him. At the time of his disappearance, Dycus was upset and had been drinking alcohol. Despite having a history of leaving home without warning, he had always maintained contact with his family and had never been gone for an extended period.
Additional Details:
Law enforcement does not believe Dycus's substance abuse problem was the cause of his disappearance. Investigators determined that his disappearance was out of character and that he did not disappear by choice, classifying him as an endangered person. His sister expressed a belief that he may have joined a religious cult. Dycus has a small scar in the middle of one of his eyebrows and may have scarring on the bottoms of his feet from frostbite. His ears are pierced.
