Circumstances of Disappearance:
On April 8 in 2000, two days after a runaway attempt, David ran away again. He told his parents and sister he was going to bed and that he loved them. Three boys were waiting for him by the window and asked David's sister to come with them, but she said no. David crawled out of his bedroom window sometime between 7:00 and 8:00 p.m. and never returned. His brother went to check on him around 10:00 p.m. and noticed he wasn’t in bed.
Additional Details:
David ran away from his Locust Grove, Oklahoma home on April 5, 2000. He was picked up by the police 15 miles away in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was found drunk and was returned to his parents. His parents then sent him to a juvenile center in Claremore, hoping to change his behavior. He was sent back home after getting caught drinking alcohol.
