Colleen Elizabeth Perris, 18, was last seen leaving her family's residence in Plantation, Florida on September 30, 2000. Her vehicle was found abandoned six days later in Tamarac, FL. She has never been found.

Circumstances of Disappearance:

On September 30, 2000, Colleen Perris received a phone call on her cellular phone at approximately 3:00 PM while at her family's residence near Flamingo Boulevard and Sunrise Boulevard in Plantation, Florida. She told her parents she was going to Coral Springs, Florida for a short time and would return by 6:00 PM to attend a Florida Marlins baseball game with her family that evening. She left home and never returned. All personal belongings were left at the residence except her cellular phone. On October 6, 2000, her 1994 white two-door Mazda MX-6 was found abandoned in the parking lot of a shopping center in Tamarac, Florida. The vehicle doors were locked and windows rolled up. Her cellular phone and purse were missing from the vehicle. There was no sign of Perris or any indication of foul play at the scene. Authorities were unable to trace the phone call she received prior to her departure. Investigators have received numerous unconfirmed sightings since her disappearance, including in California, Alabama, and the Bahamas. In November 2007, Colleen Perris was declared legally dead. The case remains open and unsolved.
