Charlotte Rae Ross was a twenty-seven-year-old mother of two who lived in Akron, Ohio. Shortly before three a.m. on the morning of March 30th, 2000, a newspaper delivery driver found her lying critically injured in the parking lot of a business located at 957 East Cherry Street in Canal Fulton, Ohio, approximately fourteen miles from Akron. She was airlifted to Akron General Hospital but passed away hours later during emergency surgery. The cause of death was massive blood loss from severe blunt force trauma to the pelvis. There seems to have been no progress at all on the case for twenty-five years, and neither motive nor killer is known.
