Summary:
Lola Shenkoya, a 27-year-old computing graduate, disappeared from Ealing Broadway on 3 January 2000. Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Lola returned home from Entertainment UK in Perivale where she worked as a temp, some time between 16:00 - 16:30hrs. She was unable to gain entry to the address in Swyncombe Avenue W5 because her sister, who had the only key, was not at home. On the day Lola disappeared she left a message on her sister's answer machine saying she had forgotten her keys. This is the last contact she has made with any of her family or friends. Eyewitness accounts suggest that Lola then caught an E2 bus from Northfield Avenue, outside Northfields Underground Station and travelled to Haven Green, where she got off the bus outside the Burger King which is near to Ealing Broadway Underground Station. She was seen by a friend in Ealing Broadway at 5.30pm and last sighted walking past Ealing Police Station just after 6pm. Lola has not been seen since.
Additional Details:
Lola suffers from sickle cell anaemia and can become very ill. Lola is an American/Nigerian and she lived in Chicago for some time. She was a very religious woman and was known to often talk to people on the street to convert them to the Christian faith. Since her disappearance, Lola's bank accounts have not been touched. Police know that she regularly visited Internet cafes in the Ealing and South Kensington area. Police have been questioning Kunowski about Thames Valley University student Elizabeth Chau who vanished near her home in Ealing five years ago and Lola Shenkoya who went missing in the area January 2000. Kunowski was questioned over both disappearances, but no concrete evidence was found to link either of them to him before he died in prison in 2009. Police are offering up to £15,000 for information regarding the disappearance Elizabeth Chau and Lola Shenkoya who went missing in Ealing. 11 years on police renew appeals for help from the public.
