Summary:
Oscar Sevilla is wanted for the capital murders of 20-year-old Geronimo “Jerry” Morales, and his 21-month-old daughter, Leslie Ann Morales.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say Oscar and his two associates were drinking beer and smoking crack when they decided to carjack someone. Jerry was driving along with his daughter to a quinceanera when they were stopped at gunpoint. The suspects who were lying in wait made Jerry drive to an orchard where he was shot in the back of the head. At that time, Leslie Ann was still strapped in her car seat. As the men were driving to the Mexican border, Leslie was thrown out of the car while still in the car seat. By the time she was found, she had died from dehydration and heat exposure. The men tried to sell Jerry’s car in Reynosa, Mexico but were pursued by Mexican authorities. They evaded the Mexican police and one suspect would turn himself in. He was convicted for his involvement in the crime. As of this posting, Oscar’s capital murder case in Hidalgo County’s court records database has a warrant flag. He also has an active UFAP (Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution) case in PACER. That means Oscar is still wanted for his alleged involvement in this crime. Oscar may still have ties to Hidalgo County, Texas and Reynosa, Mexico.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Oscar’s whereabouts should contact Hidalgo County Crime Stoppers at 956-668-TIPS (8477). Oscar should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this case so that Jerry and Leslie Ann’s family can get justice and answers.
