December 15th 2001 Rolando Ortiz-Benitez 29 pronounced dead at the scene at 2:45am by Jonn M Hollenbach Berks County Deputy Corner. Results of Autopsy in Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown showed Benitez died of gunshot wounds to the chest and abdomen.

Reading Police responded to reports of gunshots , shortly before 2:30am finding Ortiz Benitez lifeless body in the street which was littered with 9mm and .45- caliber shell casings near his body 700 blk of Bingaman Street . Police said It appeared Ortiz-Benitez was previously involved in altercation in the Stork Hotel 301 S Eighth Street. This Case still Remains Unsolved Murder Case.

Born in Puerto Rico he was the Son of Osvaldo Ortiz Sr and Ignacia Benitez in Puerto Rico. Ortiz Benitez was last employed at Gallery Restaurant of Reading. Survived by daughter Chasnae McFarland Ortiz and his 5 brothers , Reynaldo , Arnaldo, Ricardo, Osvaldo Jr , Wilfredo. And other Family members.
