Missing From:
South Lake Tahoe, California
Summary:
Jose Rodriguez-Perez is wanted for the homicide of 11-year old Claudia Torres.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Jose was hosting a party at an apartment with cocaine and alcohol. Jose was assumed to have made a living selling drugs. Claudia was at the party and Jose allegedly provided her cocaine and alcohol which she had consumed. It was not clear if Claudia either willingly consumed or was forced to consume the cocaine and alcohol. Claudia then got very sick and was taken and dropped off at a local hospital by a group of girls who were not her friends. Doctors tried to save Claudia’s life but she would be pronounced deceased. Jose was interviewed but presumably fled to Mexico before Claudia’s toxicology results came back. Warrants for murder and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution (UFAP) would then be issued. As of this posting, Jose’s murder case in El Dorado County’s court records database is in open status with no disposition, events and no filings since the murder charge was filed. The UFAP warrant is also still active.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Jose Rodriguez-Perez’s whereabouts should contact South Lake Tahoe Secret Witness at (530) 541-6800. They would have more information on a potential reward amount. Jose should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Claudia’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case. Claudia and her family are not responsible for her death and Jose should have known better as an adult, the dangers of providing cocaine and alcohol to an 11-year-old child.
