Summary:
Patrick Bailey was a passenger in a vehicle on Hunter Street in Fontana when he was confronted by three Hispanic males in a separate vehicle. One of the Hispanic males fired a gun at Patrick killing him.

update - 6/2017 The witness identified Julian Morales as the suspect who shot and killed Bailey. After conducting the witness interview, further investigative follow-up was conducted. Morales was positively identified as the shooter and Andrew Rodriguez was identified as being in the green vehicle with Morales, according to the Sheriff's Department. A third suspect who was inside the vehicle with Morales remains unidentified at this time. Investigators have leads on the third suspect and are urging other witnesses to come forward. Morales, a Victorville resident who was 21 years old at the time of the homicide, died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on Dec. 5, 2003. Rodriguez, a Fontana resident who was 27 years old at the time of the murder, died as a result of medical conditions on Nov. 19, 2004.

Timeline of Events
Authorities announced that they have identified suspects in a homicide case in Fontana which had been unresolved for nearly 15 years. Two suspects, who are now deceased, were identified, but authorities are still trying to find a third suspect connected to the murder of 35-year-old Patrick Bailey in the 14600 block of Hunter Street on Aug. 23, 2002.
