Circumstances of Disappearance:
SCSO Case# 25-03332. Some report that he was last seen leaving work around 6 pm on 2/13/2002, but his car was found in the parking lot of a nearby grocery store the next day with no sign of him. Another report states his car was found abandoned near a trailhead a few miles from his home with no signs of a struggle. He had been staying with relatives at 4006 Driftwood in Tyler at the time. Whitaker has not been heard from since, and his case remains unsolved. Whitaker is described as a Caucasian male with brown hair and brown eyes. He stands between 5'6" and 5'10" tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He has several distinguishing features, including scars on his chest and back, a pin in one of his legs, and tattoos: an Indian head on his right arm, the name "Shelley" on his chest, and his initials "WLW" on his abdomen. At the time of his disappearance, Whitaker was last seen wearing a T-shirt and jeans. He has five sons, and his family continues to seek answers about his whereabouts.
