Gilberto Juarez-Hernandez is wanted for the homicides of 31-year-old Petra Martin, and her two-year-old son Uriel, a cancer survivor.

Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Gilberto stabbed Petra and Uriel to death in their apartment. Authorities believe that Gilberto and Petra knew each other but are not sure about the extent of their relationship. Years after the homicides, authorities tested a bloody fingerprint found at the crime scene with new technology. This led to a warrant being issued for Gilberto’s arrest in 2012. Gilberto was originally believed to be hiding out in Des Moines, Iowa. He is now believed to be somewhere in Mexico. As of this posting, Gilberto has an active homicide warrant in Florida’s statewide warrants database.
