Luis Alberto Salinas is wanted for the triple homicides of 22-year-old Lorie Roberta Gurule, 30-year-old Aristeo Torres, and 40-year-old Juan Alberto Ruiz.

Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Luis and Lorie had been in an on-again, off-again relationship. Luis was described as being jealous and there had been a domestic violence complaint. At the time of the crime, Luis had been searching for Lorie. Luis had found Lorie in a SUV with Aristeo and Juan. That is when Luis allegedly shot all three victims to death. Luis then allegrdly forced two witnesses to drive him back to his car under threats of death. Warrants for aggravated homicide and aggravated kidnapping were issued for Luis’s arrest who fled to Mexico City. A federal warrant for Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution (UFAP) was also issued. The federal UFAP warrant was dismissed in 2023 because Luis’s whereabouts at the time were not known. UFAP warrants are often dismissed for administrative purposes if there are a lack of leads regarding the fugitive’s whereabouts. As of this posting, Luis’s aggravated homicide warrant is still active in Utah’s statewide warrants database.
