Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
In June 2003, 13-year-old Rebecca "Becca" Williams went missing from a park in Omaha, Nebraska after hanging out with friends. She was living with her mother at the time, but was set to move to Las Vegas, Nevada to live with her father. On a normal June day, she would leave her home in the Park Meadows Mobile Home Community and head to a nearby playground. When she failed to return home, her mother would report her missing to the police. Initially considered a runaway by the police, a grim discovery two weeks later proved them mistaken when Rebecca's body would be found. Three boys hunting for mulberries stumbled upon her body Thursday in a bushy area less than a mile from the northwest Omaha mobile home court where she lived with her mother. Her body was found two weeks later in a secluded wooded area.
