Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Maria and an unidentified Hispanic male drove up to Transito’s apartment. They pounded on the apartment door in an attempt to get inside. When no one answered, authorities say that they broke a window. The male associate entered the apartment through the window and was confronted by Transitio. Transito struck the man with a chair and the man then shot Transito to death. A gunshot went through the wall into the apartment next door where two children were sleeping. Maria was charged with allegedly being involved in Transito’s homicide. As of this posting, Harris County’s court records database shows that she has an active murder warrant and is not in custody. She most likely fled to her native country of Mexico. It is not clear if the male accomplice was ever identified. If he is still at large, then arresting Maria might lead to his identification.
