Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

leaving behind her young son, Fernando Vigil, and a grieving family desperate for answers. Alina was known for her love of music and dance, passions she eagerly shared with her son and loved ones. Her untimely death not only robbed her of a future but also deprived her son of a mother's love and guidance. On July 10, 2004, a group of off-road enthusiasts riding their quads near the Hodge Road exit along Interstate 15 made a horrifying discovery. They stumbled upon the burned remains of a young woman, later identified as Alina Garcia. The San Bernardino County Coroner's Office determined that she had suffered blunt force trauma and multiple stab wounds, indicating a violent and personal attack. This gruesome finding marked the beginning of a complex and, to date, unresolved investigation
