Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Juan, along with an accomplice shot Jose and shot at Jose again as he tried to flee. The suspects caught up to Jose and dragged him closer to Interstate 84. Juan then allegedly stabbed Jose in the throat. Jose then tried to flee for his life but was tragically struck and killed by a motorist on the Interstate. That motorist was not charged. Two co-defendants were arrested, including Juan’s accomplice in the stabbing and shooting along with Juan’s younger brother who was determined to have had a minor role in the crime. As of this posting, Oregon’s court records case shows Juan’s murder case (CF040760) as having an active warrant and being open with no filings since 2004. Juan is also wanted on an active Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution warrant, according to public PACER records. Juan has ties to Yakima, Washington; San Diego County, California, and his native country of Mexico, including Tijuana. Juan is bilingual in both Spanish and English.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Juan’s whereabouts should contact the Umatilla County Sheriff’s Office at 541-966-3600. Juan should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Jose’s family can finally get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
