Mr. Pinckney was 60 years old and married to his wife, Betty; they have three grown children. Mr. Pinckney worked two jobs. He was a driver at Yonkers General Hospital, who transported patients to and from an alcohol treatment program. Mrs. Pinckney stated that her husband owned a bar with two other partners on Ravine Avenue. Mr. Pinckney on the day of his homicide worked at Yonkers General Hospital and returned home sometime in the early afternoon. Mrs. Pinckney came home at approximately 4:15 pm, and when she entered her apartment she found her husband lying on the living room floor unconscious. Mrs. Pinckney ran outside of the apartment screaming and her neighbor called the police. Mr. Pinckney died of blunt force trauma.
