Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Molly Ann Meyer, 55, planned to ride her bicycle from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Tehachapi, California, in the spring of 2005. Her bicycle was stolen in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but she continued her journey west on foot. She was last seen on the afternoon of Thursday, May 26, 2005, leaving the downtown area of Luning, a small community on U.S. Route 95 in Mineral County, Nevada. She was walking and had her purse, her dog and a suitcase with her. There has been no activity on her bank accounts since May 19, 2005, a week before she was last seen, and she has never been heard from again. Some agencies record the place of her disappearance as Happy Camp, California, in western Siskiyou County; the California Department of Justice and the national missing persons database list Happy Camp as her last known location, while the Charley Project lists Luning. The Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office is the investigating agency, and the case is carried in its records and on its Unsolved Siskiyou list under Happy Camp. Ms. Meyer is 5 feet 3 to 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighed about 146 to 150 pounds. She has hazel eyes and naturally blonde hair that she dyes red or purple, wears plastic-framed glasses, and has a mole on her forehead, pierced ears and a scar on her chest. She had previously crushed her right hand and fractured both legs, and she has an unspecified medical condition. She may use the names Molly Ann Finn, Molly Finn Looney or Molly Ann Fehely. Her case remains unsolved and she is listed as an endangered missing person.

Additional Details:

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office, 305 Butte Street, Yreka, CA 96097: 24-hour dispatch (530) 841-2900, headquarters (530) 842-8300.
