Summary:

Heather and Kira Radcliffe (mother, 28, and daughter, 6) were killed in their home in Gainesville, FL on the night of December 8, 2006 or the early morning of Saturday December 9, 2006. The house was then set on fire, destroying potential evidence. Heather was shot prior to the fire being started. The family dog was found closed up in the home office, which is what family said Heather did when company was over.

Circumstances of Offense:

Sometime between Friday night and Saturday morning, an unknown person murdered Heather and Kira. A fire was reported at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday and the fire department responded. Once the fire was extinguished, the fire fighters found two deceased persons. Evidence gathered at the scene indicated the mother & daughter were deceased prior to the fire and the fire was intentionally started to cover the murder

Additional Details:

Two months prior to the incident, Heather reported to the police that all four tires on her silver Honda Ridgeline were slashed.
