Summary:
Andrew Gosden, 14, skipped school on Friday 14 September 2007 to travel alone by train to London. He was last seen on CCTV disembarking at London Kings Cross Station and leaving the mainline station towards Euston Road.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Only eight days into the new school year, Andrew Gosden, left home one Friday morning dressed in school uniform. He returned and changed into trainers (possibly Vans), black jeans, black Slipknot band t-shirt with a bag with band patches. He emptied his bank account (£200) and bought a one-way ticket for £31.40 (declining a return which was only 50p extra) to London, some 170 miles away. At Doncaster station he caught a late running train (departing Doncaster 09:35) arriving earlier in London (11:20) than a normal schedule operation would have permitted (11:30).
Additional Details:
That evening he was reported missing. Several weeks later police found CCTV footage of Andrew disembarking at London Kings Cross Station around 11:20. Another station camera showed him leaving the station around 11:25. He had walked home from school a couple of times in the week preceding his disappearance, a 1 hour 20 minutes walk of around 6.4km. He has an unusual double ridge in his right ear and is deaf in his left ear, and wore strong prescription glasses. When he disappeared, he took with him his PlayStation Portable but no charger, which Sony confirm never went online. He was sighted in Pizza Hut, Oxford Street that lunchtime but this is unconfirmed. The only known mobile phone he owned, he stated he had lost some months before his disappearance. He read Kerrang and had stopped going to church shortly before his disappearance.
