Summary:
Pedro Fajardo is wanted for the homicide of his estranged wife, 33-year old Bernardina Garcia.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Pedro showed up to the apartment complex where Bernardina lived. The two got into an argument and Pedro became irrational. The couple’s daughter came outside at her mother’s request, ready to call the police if necessary. The argument would escalate and Pedro and Bernardina moved to the confines of a car. Once inside, authorities allege that Pedro shot Bernardina several times in the head, killing her. Their daughter tragically witnessed the entire incident. Hysterical and horrified, she got her brother and called police. Pedro then fled before authorities arrived. After Pedro was identified in a photo line-up, authorities learned an important detail. Earlier that day, Pedro had threatened Bernardina, saying “I told you this was gonna happen!” It was determined then that Bernardina’s homicide was premeditated. Pedro’s vehicle was later located in Laredo, Texas. Pedro has ties to Athens, Georgia but is most likely hiding in Mexico. Pedro went on the run with a woman named Fabiola Oviedo and her two small children. It is not clear if Fabiola and her children were ever located and if they were being held against their will. Pedro may even be involved in human smuggling. As of this posting, Pedro’s murder case in Dallas County’s court records database is in open status with no events since 2008 except for a subpoena in 2009. This confirms that Pedro is unfortunately still at large.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Pedro’s whereabouts should contact North Texas Crime Stoppers at 1-877-373-TIPS (8477). Pedro should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this case so that Bernardina’s family can get justice and answers. We also need to confirm that Fabiola and her children are safe.
