Summary:
Michael Blasingame abducted his 1 year old child, Eitan Blasingame, and fled the United States in 2008 while in the process of going through a divorce with Eitan's mom, Diana Huynh. For 15 years, Michael has been on the run with his son which has kept a mom from seeing her son past his 1st birthday. Additionally, Michael's family (from Lafayette, Louisiana) has not seen their son or grandson. Michael is believed to have taken Eitan through multiple countries and to this day, has not been found.

Circumstances of Offense:
During the divorce proceedings, parents Diana and Michael agreed to temporary custody of Eitan in 3-month increments. Michael was allowed to take Eitan to his parents home in Lafayette, LA. On March 22, 2008, Michael was supposed to transfer Eitan to Diana for her parenting time but did not show. Phone calls went to voicemail. Michael's parents thought he had packed up all of Eitan's things to return him to Diana in Dallas. That was not the case, and Michael and Eitan were not found. In April, the divorce was set for a trial before the court and Michael once again did not show. Diana was granted sole custody of Eitan. In May, Diana reported the circumstances to the Plano Police Department due to family not being able to help reunite Eitan with his mom. As part of the investigation, investigators obtained warrants against Michael for Interference with Child Custody (State of Texas) and for Unlawful Flight to Avoid Prosecution (Federal). Michael Blasingame is a wanted fugitive and Eitan Blasingame is listed on national computers as a missing person.
Additional Details:
Michael is currently believed to be in the company of his son Eitan Blasingame outside of the United States. Investigative information developed indicated Michael and Eitan traveled through countries such as Yemen, Ethiopia and Malaysia. In 2009, Michael emailed Diana and indicated that if his criminal charges where dropped and attorneys were gone, he would speak with Diana. Those communications ceased once Michael became suspicious of communications from a private investigator. Diana last saw her 1 year old son in 2008, and 2009 was the last anyone has reported hearing from Michael. Family of Michael Blasingame includes his parents and sisters (from Lafayette, Louisiana) who are also victims with not having seen their son, brother or grandson for over 15 years. Michael is biracial (Asian and Caucasian), speaks many languages (English, French, Chinese, Hebrew) and has multiple tattoos (Star of David on his right shoulder, "pride" on his left forearm and left wrist). Michael taunted authorities online from his MySpace account: "The will of God cannot be changed. Not by TV stations, or police departments, or guns, or bombs...To say that I threatened you is absolutely ridonculous. That I threatened my son or myself...Why? My son is with me. I am not sad. I am happy. We don't have a penny to our name. But yet we have never skipped a meal or slept in the street."

With no sign of Michael or Eitan to be found, and no help Michael's family was able to provide, Diana made her first report to the Plano Police Department.
Divorce case went to trial in Collin County, Texas and Michael did not show. Diana was granted sole custody of Eitan.
Michael was supposed to transfer Eitan to Diana per the temporary custody agreement but Michael and Eitan could not be reached our found by family.
Michael stayed with a friend in Dallas but it was reported his apartment wasn't suitable for Eitan and they left.

Diana visited Eitan in Lafayette, LA and was hopeful she could taken Eitan home for Chinese New Year. Michael refused to let Eitan go back to Plano. This was the last time Diana saw her son.

Michael threatened to run away with Eitan and refused to give her Eitan's passport until hours before their departure. Diana and Eitan return to the U.S. and Michael stayed in Madagascar.
Michael, Diana and Eitan moved to Madagascar and stayed in the capital city of Antananarivo.
