Summary:
58 year old Barbara Blount went missing from her home on May 2, 2008. Her backdoor was found opened, it was said she was cleaning her kitchen that day. Nothing was there to indicate a robbery, purse and wallet were still there in plain view.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
When friends showed up to check on Barbara, they noticed her pots stacked neatly, kitchen cabinets left opened, and backdoor opened. They notified police who then found her vehicle less than a mile away. A teenager is said to have seen the keys located a few yards away from the vehicle. Heavy rains washed away any fingerprints.
Additional Details:
Local law enforcement worked together with state police and eventually FBI in order to find this lady with no luck. People in the towns nearby still talk about her and wonder what happened. Did she just walk away? Did she leave with someone?

Her 2006 Toyota Camry was found about a quarter mile north of her residence, parked on a heavily wooded dirt road. Her floor boards were flooded from heavy rain
Reported missing to Livingston Parish Sheriffs office
Neighbors/ family realized she hadn't been heard from since the phone call. They went to check on her found things consistent with cleaning. No signs of forced entry, backdoor left open
Barbara last heard from via telephone call to her neighbor. Said she was cleaning out kitchen cabinets
