Summary:
Fernando Palomino & Eric Secundino are wanted for a triple homicide.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Fernando and Eric went to the apartment of 36-year-old Jose Soberanis-Radilla to conduct a drug deal. The FBI says that Fernando and Eric had no drugs on them as they were planning to commit a drug rip-off. Once they were at the apartment, Fernando and Eric allegedly pulled out guns and demanded money. When the victims said they had none, the suspects allegedly shot the four people inside the apartment, killing Jose Soberanis-Radilla along with 43-year-old Martha Ortega and 27-year-old Jose Bravo. The fourth victim was lucky to have survived. It is possible that Martha Ortega and Jose Bravo had nothing to do with the planned drug deal but were shot and killed anyway. The suspects accomplice was arrested but Fernando and Eric both fled. Fernando was last known to be in Laredo, Texas, according to public PACER records. He was also charged federally with Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution. It should be mentioned that in 2001, Fernando was arrested for shooting at a police officer. He was convicted and later paroled for that crime. As of this posting, Fernando is currently on the Illinois DOC Most Wanted List for violating his parole regarding shooting at the police officer in 2001. They mention that he is still wanted for the triple homicide as well. PACER records show his federal Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution warrant is still active. Considering the amount of time he has remained a fugitive, I suspect that Fernando is most likely hiding in either Mexico or another Latin American nation.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Fernando Palomino and/or Eric Secundino should contact Cook County Crime Stoppers (to qualify for the potential reward) at 1-800-535-STOP. Fernando and Eric should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that there can be justice and answers in this horrific case. The fact that this triple homicide occurred during a drug ripoff is not an excuse for any of the victims to have been shot and killed/wounded.
