Missing From:
Stanton, California
Summary:
Jorge Huante is wanted for the homicide of 20-year-old Harvey Romero.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Harvey and his friends were driving around, looking for a friend when a group of gang members confronted them. That is when Jorge allegedly shot Harvey to death while he was leaning out the vehicle’s window. Jorge is believed to have fled to Mexico after the homicide. In 2016, a California appeals court upheld the second-degree murder convictions of two of Jorge’s co-defendants. They did reverse the conviction of a third co-defendant after they determined he was not involved in Harvey’s homicide. As of this posting, Jorge has an active PC 187 (murder) warrant in Orange County’s warrants database. Additionally, Orange County’s court records database confirms that Jorge’s case is in warrant status.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Jorge’s whereabouts should contact Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS (They do not provide rewards for tips). Jorge should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Harvey’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
